Will the passing of Her Majesty the Queen affect the questions in the Life in the UK test?

We learnt that on the 8th September 2022 Her Majesty the Queen sadly passed away.

What will this mean for those taking the Life in the UK test – will you be asked questions about the Queen and the Royal Family. The answer is no. TSO, who publish the official handbook and related materials for the Home Office say on their website:

Sections of the handbook, Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents 3rd edition, which refer to Queen Elizabeth II and the Monarchy, are out of date and have been removed from subsequent prints of the handbook.

You will not be asked any questions on this as part of the Home Office approved test based on the current (3rd) edition of the Life in the UK handbook.
